Welcome to website of ToP  - The Association of Polish Women in The Netherlands.

ToP is an association of women who reside in The Netherlands and have an intention to stay connected with Polish community, language and culture.

The name of “ToP” association originates from abbreviation of Polish name of our association, which is: “Towarzystwo Polek”.

Although the name of ToP may suggest that our association is exclusively addressed to Polish women, this is intensely not the case. The ToP welcomes everyone who wishes to stay connected with Poland or anyone who feels the need to share the interest in any of areas regarding Poland.

Please note that ToP is not a political organization nor favours ToP any political or ideological standpoint.

Purposes of ToP

The objectives of ToP can be briefly described as following:

  • To integrate with Dutch society - ToP intends to awake and stimulate her members’ awareness of being the part of the Dutch society and takes the efforts to strengthen theirs position within the Dutch society;
  • To expand the network of those who have affinity with Poland;
  • To share the experiences, knowledge and information in order to learn better from each other;
  • To focus on the interests and needs of the members of the ToP in order to support each other;
  • To promote knowledge of Poland and Polish culture in The Netherlands.

Activities of ToP

ToP organizes a meeting every 3 months. Those meetings pay attention to the particular subject of members’ area’s of interest such as a meeting with famous Polish writer, a meeting with a Polish professional in any field such as art, business or science or a jointly trip to one of the Dutch theaters.
